Pei Chen's Taster

Throughout the course, participants will learn the skills and techniques needed to properly conduct and lead a tea tasting.

The selection of teas to be tasted as part of the course is top-of-the-line and was previously selected and tested by Pei Chen's team at their place of origin to ensure their authenticity and quality.

In the Professional Training Course in Technical Tasting and Tea Culture, the taster will learn to analyze, evaluate, and describe—using appropriate vocabulary— the origin, variety, harvesting protocol, harvest season, processing method, genetics, authenticity, defects, and overall quality score of any single-origin tea. They will also be able to identify the world’s most famous teas and their most common counterfeits.

You will gain the skills and confidence to create a personal tea collection or develop a product menu for a business in accordance with appropriate quality and pricing standards.

Upon completing the training, you will become a lifetime member of the Pei Chen Alumni Tasters’ Corps, which includes advanced training, exclusive access to group tastings, and the opportunity to serve as a judge in national and international competitions.
