High-quality pure loose-leaf tea, selected at the source.
A red tea that’s unique because of where it’s grown, but with classic flavors and low caffeine content—highly recommended for brewing, drinking cold, or even blending.
The Mao Feng variety emerged in response to market demand for more delicate and aromatic black teas—less robust than those made from large-leaf varieties from the southwest. For this reason, red teas from Hunan are typically positioned as a mid-range premium category: more delicate than those from Yunnan but with more body than red teas from the coastal regions.
ORIGIN
Hunan, China
Anhua, Hunan, has a long tradition of tea production, including the production of Hong Cha (red tea). Among its most delicate varieties are Mao Feng-style teas, made from carefully selected buds and young leaves. Full oxidation results in reddish-colored infusions with a sweet body and a deep aromatic profile, featuring fruity, honey-like, and floral notes.
