TaiJi-Style Tea Ceremony – Practitioner

The ceremonial style we teach at Pei Chen was created by Mei Hsin (co-founder) and is endorsed by her teachers in China and Taiwan.

This tea ceremony is a fusion of the Gongfu Cha preparation method, the practice of Tai Chi, and the Dao—or "the Way"—as a philosophy.

This is Level I of the TaiJi-Style Tea Ceremony Vocational Training program, in which you will be trained as a Practicing Tea Master.

*This course is offered on specific dates. Check the upcoming available dates.

CHA DAO

Cha Dao, which literally means “the Way of Tea” in Chinese, is an ancient philosophy and practice that goes beyond the preparation and consumption of tea.

It is a spiritual and cultural path that seeks harmony between the individual, nature, and the essence of tea. In Cha Dao, every step—from selecting the leaves to the tea ceremony—is carried out with mindfulness, respect, and gratitude, fostering a connection with the present moment and promoting inner peace. More than just a beverage, tea becomes a means of cultivating serenity and wisdom.

  • Level I: Practicing Ceremonialist

Becoming a practitioner means committing to these values both at the tea table and beyond

As a practitioner, you will be able to share the TaiJi-style Tea Ceremony in public and/or private settings. You will be able to practice as a professional (charge fees) after performing 10 (ten) ceremonies.
