WE WILL TRAVEL THROUGH CHINA'S PRODUCING REGIONS TO GET AN UP-CLOSE LOOK AT THE CULTIVATION, PRODUCTION, AND CULTURE OF THE HEI CHA AND OTHER POST-FERMENTED TEAS. UN RESEARCH AND TRAINING TRIP ALONG WITH THOSE WHO DEDICATE THEIR LIVES TO PRODUCING THEM.

Discovering Tea at Its Place of Origin

China is the birthplace of tea and the starting point for understanding its history, the techniques involved, and the people who keep its production alive.

During this research and training trip, we will explore the hei cha and al puer, post-fermented teas whose production and aging processes offer a unique field of study. We’ll tour producing regions, visit processing facilities and local markets, and learn directly from producers and specialists.

Shared rooms. Single rooms are available for an additional fee.

Three meals a day during the trip to China.

Transfers included in the itinerary: trains, domestic flights, boats, and private vehicles, depending on the route.

SPECIALIZED TRANSLATION IN TEA

During the training sessions and visits, we will provide Spanish translation specialized in tea terminology. This will facilitate conversations with producers, masters, and artisans, and help participants understand their techniques and production processes.
