Pei Chen Tea Palace began in 2014 with a simple idea shared by Mei-Hsin Chen and Ryan Hollibaugh: bring the depth of Asian tea culture to the Western world with honesty, rigor, and respect. What started as a small space in Buenos Aires grew into one of the most active tea academies in the region—an ecosystem where learning, culture, and craftsmanship meet.
We work directly with producers, artisans, and tea masters across Asia, bringing their knowledge and craft to our students through training programs, workshops, cultural events, and field trips. Our approach blends academic research with real-world experience, keeping tradition alive while making it accessible to a modern audience.
From the beginning, the goal wasn’t just to sell tea or teach classes. It was to create a place where people could understand tea at its source: its history, its makers, its rituals, and the philosophy behind it. That vision shaped everything we do—our courses, our selection of teas and teaware, our trips to origin, and the community that has formed around us.
Today, Pei Chen is a meeting point between East and West. A place for beginners taking their first steps, professionals deepening their skills, and tea lovers searching for authenticity in a world full of noise.
Everything we offer—education, products, and experiences—is built on the same foundation: clarity, respect, and a genuine desire to honor the cultures that shaped tea.
If you’re here to learn, explore, or simply enjoy a cup with more meaning behind it, you’re already part of what we envisioned when Pei Chen began.
